Inside the building
Detroit's housing is old, brick, and full of places an animal can get into and die. Reachable ones are a normal job for this line. Sealed ones are not, and the second section says why.
Reachable
Detached garages with a bad door. Michigan basements with a broken glass-block window. Attics reached through a closet hatch in a 1920s bungalow. The void under an enclosed front porch. A boiler room in a six-unit. The operator goes in, finds it, bags it, takes the soiled material around it, and tells you where it got in.
Rentals and multi-units: say who is home, who has the key, and who to bill. The operator will work with a tenant, a super or a manager.
Sealed walls
A rodent sealed inside a finished wall is not a cutting job. If there is no way to it without opening the structure, the smell is left to fade as decomposition runs down.
Plaster and drywall are not opened for a rodent. Where a cavity connects to an attic or basement it can sometimes be reached from there. Say what you know.
