What moves the quote
Small-animal removal is commonly around the $400 starting point. Larger jobs, including deer on private property, can be around $700 depending on access, location, and disposal requirements. Those are where jobs tend to start, not a fixed quote; the operator prices yours on the call. The step before this one is whether the city already covers it, which for a dog or cat at the curb it does.
Weight
Squirrel, raccoon, deer. Sets the floor.
Location
Side lot is a lift. Basement is stairs and a search. Under an enclosed porch is a crawl. Enclosed spaces take longer and cost more.
Access
Locked building, no keyholder, gate, dog, alley a truck cannot reach. Each adds time. Say it before arrival.
Age
Fresh leaves little. Two weeks in a summer garage soaks into what is under it, and that comes out too.
What $400 and $700 mean here
Common starting points, not a commitment. A basement in a six-unit, a deer at the back of an overgrown lot, a locked building with no keyholder: each one changes the number. Terms are the operator's, stated before work begins.
Getting a number fast
Address, spot on the property, reachable or not, who to bill. "Not sure" is fine for the third.
